Associates

All of our Associates at Psychology For Growth have a strong set of skills that can facilitate your self-improvement and growth. The following therapists represent my team of highly skilled associates who deliver services on my behalf. They each have their special interests, with varied professional and academic backgrounds. Some of their specialized interests include relationship issues, anxiety, mood disorders (such as depression), life transitions, stress management, addiction and compulsive behaviours, to name a few. They are warm, non-judgmental, compassionate, and easy to talk to. 

VERONICA is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She received her Masters of Counselling degree from Athabasca University. She has many years of experience as a counsellor at Western University, Student Development Centre, Psychological Services, and in private-practice. Veronica uses a client-centred approach and teaches her client many useful skills for dealing with anxiety, panic, ADHD, grief and loss. Veronica is skilled in teaching her clients about mindfulness and using self-compassion to improve well-being. She is also a practitioner of ACT, or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. CARA COULSON, M.A.

Cara earned an master degree in Education specializing in young adult mental health. For her master’s thesis, Cara implemented a mindfulness training program for young adults who struggled with exam anxiety. Cara found significant reduction in the level of exam anxiety and an improvement in the performance of students who received her training vs. those who did not. Today, Cara implements mindfulness and meditation work, coupled with strong coaching skills, to help clients improve their ability to cope with stress, anxiety, and achieve personal goals. ZOE SILESHI, M.DIV

Zoe has a masters degree in divinity, specializing in clinical counselling, and is a registered psychotherapist in Ontario. She has a special interest in working with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. She uses an integrative approach with her clients, pulling mostly from family systems and cognitive behavioral therapy to address presenting issues. VAISHNAVI NADESU, MA

Vaishnavi is a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She is also a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) with the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals.

Vaishnavi works with diverse clientele and has a vast understanding of cultural differences. She has experience in dealing with depression and anxiety, sex addiction, as well as substance abuse, trauma, gender, anger management, relationships, and self-esteem concerns.

DIANA TIESSEN

Diana graduated with a Masters of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She has a special interest in working with people who are neurodivergent (e.g., ADHD and Autism), individuals and families struggling with addiction, anxiety, trauma, and depression. Diana delivers individual and family counselling, and works with people across the lifespan. She takes an interpersonal approach to her work and uses cognitive behavioural therapy to help people monitor and challenge their thinking while also using Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), or tapping, to help clients alleviate emotional distress. Prior to working as a therapist, Diana had a successful teaching career spanning over 30 years. Her experience as a teacher gives her insight and understanding of how different individuals learn and change, guiding her in co-constructing therapeutic interventions to help each individual. She is proud to be 66 years old, having overcome many traumas in life. Her personal experiences provide her with a strong desire to help others through their challenges as well.
